Autumn is a gorgeous time of transition and oncoming coziness in Lund! The beautiful display of fall leaves never cease to amaze and awe me. We have had an unusually warm fall season this year in Sweden, but this morning we had the first snow?! :O Shocking!
Here are 5 of my favorite activities to do in Lund in the Autumn!
From apple cakes from apples picked straight from local trees, to celebrating the national cinnamon bun day, baking is always a nice, cozy way to stay warm and have fun with friends while making delicious treats!
I love candles, and decorating my room and corridor with them always makes everything feel cozier and warmer and brighter, especially as it starts to get colder and darker!
Carving pumpkins has always been one of my favorite Autumn traditions! It’s decidedly American, but with so many international students, there seems to be a lot of pumpkin carving going on around Lund! Jack-o-Lanterns are a great way to decorate your home or student corridor around Halloween!
I love going for walks in general, but especially in the fall! All of the changing leaves make all the trees and buildings in Lund even more beautiful! So many colors! 😀
Another American tradition that I have found so much joy in bringing to Sweden! Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday and to be able to share it with all of my friends in Lund is so special. I prepare a traditional Thanksgiving feast for my corridormates and friends and introduce them to the warm, cozy, wonderful feeling that is Thanksgiving. 🙂
